Rate Alert

1. How Rate Alert Works

Rate Alert is a powerful lead-capturing tool that can help you streamline your daily business activities by keeping track of daily rate inquires. Enter your prospects into the rate alert database so you can track and automate the process of knowing when you’re offering their target rate, or when it’s time to contact your borrowers to refinance. Contact borrowers immediately and keep in touch.

In Brief

  1. A consumer (or you or a your loan officer) enters their rate target or contact date in a data entry form at your website.
  2. When the target rate or date is hit, email is sent to you and the consumer. It's that's simple.

When your rates are updated (manually by you using the MRTS product, or automatically with the ARS or ARSG product), your Rate Alert database is checked for any matches. (A match occurs when your rates are equal to or better than the rate/point target(s) in your Rate Alert database.)

When a rate match occurs, email notifications are delivered to you and the consumer, and the consumer's record is removed from the Rate Alert database. (Consumer email addresses are found just below the consumers name in the database output.) You and the consumer are notified that the consumer's rate target has been met. We strongly encourage you to contact the consumer immediately. They may have entered their rate request with other brokers!

When no match occurs, no email notifications are delivered and no borrower records are removed from your database. You may access the contents of your database at any time from your back office account (Manage Website | RateAlert Leads).

Contacts whose target rate or contact date have not been matched can be found in your database at any time. To find them, log in to your back office, www.originatornetwork.com, and select the links: Manage Website | RateAlert Leads.

2. Sort Contacts

Periodically sorting your database can present many opportunities. For example, sort by loan program when you can offer a particular program at a great rate. Sort by loan amount when Fannie Mae reevaluates the Conforming loan limit. Last year's Jumbo loan may have become a Conforming loan with a lower rate! This illustration shows borrower records sorted by date.

You can easily send the contents of your Rate Alert database via email. That can make it easier to share information with your referral partners. You can email leads and keep your back office completely secure. After receiving the database via email, printing is easy. Just print the email!

4. Sort / Delete / Opt Out

Deleting old leads from the database can help you see viable leads more quickly! Administering your Rate Alert database is easy. Use the "Administer Borrower Records" (or "Administer entire record of specific borrower" not illustrated) tool to locate and delete records.

Opt out

Opt out lets you choose whether or not to be notified when a new contact submits your Rate Alert data entry form. If you leave the Opt out box empty (no check in the box), you will receive an email each time a new contact submits your data entry form. If you place a check in the opt out box, you will not be notified each time a new contact submits your data entry form.

If you place a check in the check box, remember to check your database daily for new contacts.
